TP (TREND PUBLISHER) is a SCADA application that reads the trend data produced by a SUPER-FLASH aplication and publishes them on a Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL database, so in an evoluted storage device already directly interfaceable with the company information systems.
It communicates with the Super-Flash application, via the SF-SF protocol (on TCP/IP channel), to receive the publication mission. Once it has received a mission, it carries it out completely independently. To know which Super-Flash variables to export, it uses an ASCII file which contains the list of variables to be managed.
TP can be hosted on the same machine where the application that records trends works, or on another machine on the network. Being able to manage access to network paths and communicating in TCP/IP, its physical positioning can be decided on the basis of the characteristics of its architecture and the performance of the available machines. Also the Database can be positioned anywhere in the network as long as it is accessible. This allows considerable flexibility of use.
TP uses SmartDB as a tool for accessing the Database.
