Automa - Company Profile
Automa's mission is to make reliable solutions which are easy to implement for users, providing them with tangible and professional support given by the same technicians who develop the software.
Automa has been making software products for industrial automation, supervision (SCADA), human-machine (HMI) interfaces, monitoring, remote control and Cam systems for about 30 years and, for the past few years, has also made solutions for managing production (management of a work plan, making out production reports, stock management, data collection, maintenance, traceability and re-traceability, etc.) available to its customers, offering a truly all-round service.
Automa offers not only products, but also its experience in the complex world of comunication and integration, providing support to respond to specific requirements with made-to-measure software.
Market dynamics compel us to continually develop and keep up-to-date and our passion for our work, the quality of our products and the know-how gained over the years make us increasingly competitive and on the cutting edge.

... In 2005
Automa 2005Automa is, in Italy, a leading company specialized in software development for industrial automation, supervision (SCADA), human-machine interfaces (HMI), monitoring, remote controlling and CAM systems. Well-known because of SUPER-FLASH, the appreciated development system for industrial supervision applications and human-machine interfaces, as well as, leader of the "SUPERVISIONE LIBERA" product line (a software family for the automation sector), Automa does not develop only SCADA or HMI products. For about twenty years of activity, Automa has supplied qualified services of software engineering allowing many companies to develop high reliable functional products. Automa aims decisively at the integration of both internal and external enterprise information systems through the planning of research and development of architectures, platforms and products for EPS/MES (Enterprise Production Systems/Manufacturing Execution Systems). For a new culture of "all-round communication".

... In 1995
Automa 1995Software is becoming increasingly important in the area of Industrial Automation. From having been an almost "inconvenient" accessory (due to the need to depend on "super-experts"), it has now become a living form of expression of the experience of a company as regards production process control systems. Software production itself has changed considerably: from a craftsman, artistic and almost magic activity it has moved on to increasingly assume the features of industrial production while still being strongly characterised by the needs for design and thus still very much based on inventiveness. Automa is a software house that, from its foundation, has strongly moulded its activities on concepts of structuring, readability, reuse, reliability and ease of maintenance of the software. Paying particular attention to technological innovations and with a strong desire to express and experiment its own design, Automa has invested many of its own resources with the intention of perfecting procedures and development tools that render the work of programming more easy. Thanks to these tools and to a staff of creative, lively, expert people, Automa has succeeded in conquering a prestigious position within the ambit of companies that develop software for Industrial Automation. A very important feature of Automa's activities is that of having connected together a considerable number of dedicated process control devices. From this derives a particularly rich heritage of experience connected with the problems of communicating between computers and the surrounding reality. Moreover, the ability of making diverse peripherals "talk to each other" without renouncing low-cost interfaces, makes Automa particularly competitive in supplying software for controlling complete production processes. Automa has always banked on the use of Personal Computers, even when, years ago, they were accused of being limited, useful, perhaps, for writing letters but not for much more. Today the reductions of hardware costs and the considerable increase in performance have specifically favoured whoever, like Automa, considered that this path should be taken immediately. The high number of software tools and applications developed, at times very different from each other, demonstrates Automa's desire to basically specialise in software production, where it claims to use a strongly innovative approach and to have the possibility of supplying a high-quality and reliable product.
