Super-Flash 4.8 - new version released!!
Automa announces the release of version 4.8 of Super-Flash, the only fully Italian SCADA system available in Royalty-Free and Runtime versions. The Runtime version can be downloaded at this link.
Automa offers two complementary commercial models for its SCADA HMI package: Royalty-Free and Runtime.
What's new in version 4.8
The goal of version 4.8 is to extend functionality for quickly creating ergonomic, graphically appealing SCADA applications, with support for all the animations needed to create unique, highly customized applications with performance often unattainable with other SCADA systems.
Among the various added features, we would like to mention a few:
Extensive enhancement of support for the SVG vector graphics format, with a powerful set of MicroC functions that allow for exceptional runtime animation possibilities
New grid object, which can be used for many useful features to facilitate all operations involving selection, input, and modification of values
New highly configurable linear meter object, which is added to the circular meters that have been available for some time
Addition of color gradients and anti-aliasing effects for most graphic objects

NIS2: cybersecurity and the future for SCADA stations
On October 16, 2024, the European NIS2 directive came into effect, introducing new cybersecurity requirements for companies and infrastructure. It applies not only to management servers, but also to SCADA workstations in production, even those that are not connected to the network.
In reality, these SCADA/HMI stations often need to be updated: the older they get, the greater the risk of breakdowns and plant downtime. NIS2 is therefore a further incentive to address the past.

To promote the development of HMI and SCADA applications, also with a view to Industry 4.0 and Transition 5.0, Automa offers the Super-Flash development system free of charge, in Runtime mode. Simply download it from the free download section of our website and start using it for development and testing, without having to pay any upfront costs.
At the end of development, the required size is determined and the Runtime license is purchased.

EM530 - Energy Analyzer and Meter, compact, low cost, also available in MID version
Accurate and continuous measurement of electricity consumption offers numerous advantages in terms of both accurate assessment of production costs per unit of product and diagnostic analysis for predictive maintenance.
To best support its customers' Transition 5.0 projects, which necessarily involve monitoring electricity consumption, Automa offers meters from Carlo Gavazzi, a long-established company and international leader in the sector.
In particular, Automa offers the EM530 series: a compact energy analyzer that can be installed in any low-voltage electrical panel where energy consumption, main electrical variables, and harmonic distortion need to be monitored. Compatible with any current transformer with a secondary rating of 5 A / 333 mV, it can be installed in systems with a rated current of up to 10 kA, even in retrofit applications when used with split-core transformers such as CTAs, CTDs S, or CTVs.

SE5201 - Serial Server for connecting meters with RS232/422/485 to an Ethernet network
SE5201 is an ethernet serial server that allows you to connect devices with only an RS232/RS422/RS485 serial interface
to the Ethernet.
This allows old peripherals to be interconnected to the information system even in case of machine and plant revamping.
Energy meters are often still equipped with a serial line, but the need is always to put them on an Ethernet network.
SE5201 is configurable via a browser, and through the use of VirtualCom, the insertion of these devices is possible without the need to modify existing software, except in special cases.
